You don't apply for the NCLEX. You apply for a nursing license by examination as an internationally educated nurse. The details are on the BoN website.

You need to prove proficiency in English as well as have a course by course evaluation of your nursing education and credentials. CGFNS is most common and accepted by most states. NM happens to also accept a few other credential evaluation services.
Thank you so muchfor your reply. I have read the details in NM BON site. And it says there the exemption from taking English exam. So it means I'll be exempted from it coz we used English language for our textbooks and in Licensure examination there.by the way, I want to ask if where can I get a Verification of English Competency? Is that the same services offered from CGFNS which is English Proficiency Report? . Hope to hear from u again. Thanks
When cgfns evaluates your credentials it will verify whether your program was taught in English with English texts. If cgfns does not verify/validate that your education was in English you will be required to take ielts or toed and pass. It must be an official verification included on the CES report.
They didn't ask me about tAking the IELTS/TOEFL. My application in NM BON was very quick. After sending my application to BON, they sent me an email that I can register to Pearson Vue then I registered on Pearson Vue then I got my ATT right away. If you need some help u can email me. Here is my email Address [email protected]

Hello guys!
I badly need your help. I am very confused about the application in New Mexico. I am a registered nurse from the Philippines. Graduated way back 2010. And now living here in New Mexico for almost 2 years now. I want to know the step by step process to those who already took their NCLEX exam in NM, most especially those who came from the Philippines. I have read the instructions in NM BON page for International graduate but I think it is good to know it from those who already experienced the process/application. I hope to hear from you guys. Please enlighten my mind. Thank you! Godspeed.
