Yeah I have ACLS, BLS, PALS, nih and firecard but don't have CPI, I had mine expire in March. Hopefully that doesn't affect my chances! It says within 3 months of hire.

You'll be fine. They usually offer it at hospital orientations

Oh thank goodness. Well hopefully we get interviews !! Let me know if you get anything new from this process.

Yes I absolutely will keep you posted!! I don't have my fire card so I'll work on that, I had one years ago. I did just get my TNCC so hopefully that helps. Highly recommend that course if you're interested in ER, I really enjoyed it and the test isn't that bad. I took it at express training in Tustin. All 5 of us in the class happened to be new grads haha

Thank you!! I was looking for a place that had this certification that wasn't being taught at a hospital for their RNs.

I did ER, CVDOU, ICU for Good Samaritan . Really want days, can anyone tell me if Downey has day positions available before I apply for them too?

I got one too! I selected ER, CVDOU, and NICU but I am kinda bummed bc they didn't offer Labor and Delivery.. I really wanted that unit to be offered..

Downey did have a couple days, yes! I really want days too but ill sacrifice if I can get into an ER.

Awe, yea this specialty is so tough! I hope you get into one, Its so hard with the positions offered. Like, I want to be picky but feel like I cant haha

ER is my dream too ! I am really battling what sacrifice I have to make. I live in Santa Monica so any night shift will be a nightmare to commute in traffic both ways but I also do not want med Surg 😭 struggle is real life l
