Piedmont Healthcare New Grad Residency 2013

Has anyone interviewed at Piedmont for the new grad program that starts in August 2013? I had an interview almost 2 weeks ago and am waiting to hear back whether I was accepted or not. I am feeling quite anxious - has anyone heard back as yet or have any idea when to expect notification? I was told the wait time would be "several weeks".

When I met with the recruiter who gave me my contract, she stated that the program will not start in August but was pushed backed to Sept 9 because she needs time to get all of our paperwork, drug screen, background checks, orientation, new employment info etc into the system. I know that she told me that she would be out of the office this week wed-fri. So maybe if you check on Monday, they will respond.

Yeah I just wish they let us know. It is almost four weeks since my interview but I took another offer with a different hospital because I just can't wait any longer. Hopefully down the road I can transition into OR. Good luck with the residency Madenew :)

Thanks ! It's great that you didn't put all your eggs in one basket. I made sure I had other opportunities with other facilities. But sometimes you have to go with who is making the effort to bring you in and that's communicating with you. It sucks to just feel like your waiting. One of my choices other than Piedmont still has me waiting, and I haven't heard from them. Oh well, I stick with what I have. Good Luck to you

Don't know if this helps anybody but I just got hired on as an er tech and my background took 2-3weeks. Also I've been applying for this position almost a year (when I started my nursing pre reqs) and just now got in once I started started my program. I think with them you have to keep applying and calling. Just my opinion. Good luck guys hopefully I will be in your position next year

Yes I start tomorrow!! I just moved down here Friday from NC and I'm soooo lonely :( no tv and no Internet :( so if anyone wants to go out to grab a bite or something than am I up for it!!

Did anyone hear back from piedmont preoperative program? I called twice and emailed but got no response. I am trying to plan a trip but is held back because I'm still thinking they might call. If they haven't called now does it mean you weren't selected? Any thoughts?

I was called om Wednesday and given an offer for the OR residency.
