Hi everyone! I wanted to post here since I didn't see a thread started yet for this year's program. I thought that we could post updates here about those who have applied or are planning to apply. I figured with this year being the first year that they are doing an Early Admission decision, it would be a great time to start a thread so we can support each other as we anxiously await for them to let us know whether or not we made it into the program.
Please feel free to share which one you applied for and any other details you want. I will post mine below. Good luck to everyone and can't wait to find out how things go for everyone as we anxiously await the December 15th day for those of us who applied Early Admission!!
I can start off by saying that I applied for Early Admission to the nursing program. I am hoping to get in and am nervous as to whether my grades are good enough to get in.
Congrats! Sorry for the delayed response but yes, I am super excited to get started! I am a little nervous because of how rigorous nursing programs typically are though! How do you plan on balancing work and school? I live alone so I'm concerned about keeping up with both! Congrats again and I look forward to going through this journey with you!

Thanks! I am nervous too, but I have heard great things about the program here. :) I am lucky that I don't have to worry about school and work. My husband told me he wants me to be able to focus solely on school since he knows how hard it is. You can definitely do it though! You may have days where you will be tired (I've done work and school before with a kiddo). From what I've heard it's highly suggested to have study groups to help and with the campus being so small that helps too. Are you going to the information session tomorrow or in the facebook group that was started for the Athens campus?
That's wonderful you have such a supportive husband! And I actually really enjoy going to coffee shops with classmates to study so maybe we can figure out a schedule to do that! I haven't seen anything on facebook yet, but I'm going to search for it now. And yes I will be there tomorrow. I'm short with long brown/burgundy hair and I'll be with my boyfriend. If you see me say hi!:)

I agree! He really is an amazing man lol. Definitely will have to see about meeting up. I know it may depend on my husband's work schedule and whether my kiddos are close to needing pickup. I have two little ones btw lol. I found it by accident but havent been added to it yet. I'm somewhat short with dark brown hair and glasses and I will be wearing my ems shirt :) Hope to aee you in a little bit.
Hey, guys! I've been accepted to Piedmont College Athens Campus for the Fall 2018 cohort. I wanted to hear about the experiences those of you that are now in the program have had and what opinions you have about the school. Also, what kind of scholarships or financial aid do y'all have if any?

Yes, that one. :) I am super excited and can't wait for March 31st to be here now. I actually am going the week prior to two of my friends that are going to be going on the Demorest campus. It is so exciting that it is sooo close to being here to getting information. I am anxious to find out about all of this especially because I am super nervous about them doing a two part pharmacology class and doing it over the summer. I've started looking over it a little bit to at least get an idea of the material (thru an amazing nursing student oriented site that I found).
