Piedmont College 2015 nursing applicants

Published

Hello,

Are there anyone applying for the 2015 Piedmont College Nursing Class? This is my first year applying, and I would like to know how long to wait for interview call before I need to start panicking.:nailbiting:

I haven't gotten a packet yet!

It's not really a "packet" it's just a few pages that came in mail that gives us a list of supplies we'll need, info about physical and a few more details. It should arrive this week, I got mine's Saturday.

Could you give me some of the details please?

Mainly it says to make sure you have all your grades transferred over and make sure your GPA still remains at least 3.0 and everything's transferred over (if you attended another school), and it just said the times that we should expect to be there for class and clinicals each week. And that's all I can remember, my letter is at home and I'm at work. It said we will be getting a third letter later about drug screen and background check.

I know nursing school is hard everywhere, but reading all the blogs and testimonials from other students got me freaked out. I was wondering have anyone heard about the level of difficulty at Piedmont. What are the students currently in the program saying? I'm just curious. In need of some panic relief..

I think we will do fine! Why is school all week all summer? Are we doing clinicals? Does anyone know why we will be in school for 12 hours Monday and Tuesday and 6 hours Wednesday thru Friday. Is it for all of summer?

Thanks

Mondays and Tuesdays are clinical days.

Well clinical/lab days

Well what about Wednesday thru Friday?

That's crazy for lectures though. 8 hours per day

I'm sure we probably will be covering tons of material and remember, we have two classes, so I'm guessing maybe one class first half and second class second half. Maybe not, I'm just assuming, but I'm sure we will be covering lots of info. We should get answers during orientation. Also, email your advisor, she probably can give you some insight.
