hi everyone
there are limit information about PICC in Burn p't
I would like to ask about
1.what kind of burn p't is suitable for PICC
2. how to secure and maintain it (PICC)
use Statlock ?
3.IS heparin lock suitable for them ?
your kind assistance on this are very much appreciated

I would ask the PICC team for their recommendations.

A burn patient may receive a PICC if the arm that is chosen is without burns usually within 6 inches either way of the intended VP site. Whether your organization chooses statlocks, or if the dressing itself is its own securement device, either way, make sure you have good dressing adherance. Heparin flush solution is applicable for all open ended, non valved central lines, and a PICC is one type of central line.
