Hi all! My friend showed me an ad for a phys med/rehab clinic looking for an RN. I thought about applying, but I don't know what they really do there. Anybody have any experience in a similar place? If so, what is a typical day like? What do you like and dislike about it? Any info could be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!

not sure what a clinic will do,
but I do remember a rehab ward:
- this included patients who had strokes
with hemiplegia, head injuries, spinal cord injuries,
quadriplegia, amputees, multiple sclerosis - people
going for scheduled physiotherapy, occupational
therapy. They get dressed in day-time clothes,
we got them up into their wheelchairs, some of
them were learning to walk again.
It had a very positive atmosphere.
Thanks! I can't really figure out what they would do at a clinic either. Good point about the types of pts. I would imagine that it is a different atmosphere than an inpt unit, but I don't know for sure!
