Good Luck to all the 2016 hopefuls!

I just hand delivered both my acceptance & denial at west campus. Both were stamped "Received" and I was handed copies. Was told i will receive a package in the mail box next week with more information.

Watch your emails, the packet they send is kind of big so they have a tendency to email that one out.

Still holding my breath, checking my emails every 30 minutes. I don't think I can wait till January to find out if I"ll get a spot. :nailbiting:

Just a few more helpful tips for those that made it. If you don't have insurance the best prices were found at the Care One (one on County Line and one on Cortez) was the cheapest route to have your physical and shots. There were some cheaper places but they were located in Tampa.

Many of you are probably younger so you may have to go to your pediatrician to get shot records and if you don't have a primary and you are under 26, your pediatrician can still treat you.

All in all it ran over 300 for us that did not have insurance.

They last tidbit is make sure you get the two-step PPD if it is still required which means you get stuck twice. Some places thought it meant the first step was to get stuck and the second step was coming back to have it read... not the case. You have to get stuck twice and have two readings.

Why would you be checking your email? Do they send out the alternates emails if they get accepted?? I'm hopefully getting my letter today if not I'm calling the school

So if I have all the shots and had the tb skin test done in July of this this year for work and the flu shot like last week, can my hospital just sign off for having record of all my shots, is that how it works??

Why would you be checking your email? Do they send out the alternates emails if they get accepted?? I'm hopefully getting my letter today if not I'm calling the school

Oh, that's just my hopefull thinking that I'll get an email, so I check often. Mail I can only check once a day.

The letter said I would be contacted if a spot becomes available. It doesn't say how they'd contact.

Ah I see. I'm hoping to be in. If not than an alternate at least so with all the other candidates dropping their second spot I'm will be in. But we will see. I have until 5

You will need to have copies of all the shot records to provide to the school. They turn around and give it to your potential clinical site as well. It sounds like all you would need is a physical then.

Oh and make copies of EVERYTHING you turn into the school. They are great at misplacing things!

On the TB (PPD) you need to have the two step done. 2 pokes not just the one

Eriksmommy5311 I will highly recommend that you call her tomorrow first thing in the morning just to be sure she received it, so you can enjoy your vacation in peace :yes:

I do have the two series from the hospital that was done in July and also a physical from July with them as well, hopefully they will accept that!! That will make life much easier...and cheaper too!! :)

Hello All,

Well I have good news for someone who is an alternate for the RN Generic WC. I accepted the LPN. I can't crunch the numbers to work even with student loans for 2 years and working PT. I'm single, have a mortgage etc... I can do the transition later. But congrats to the RN Alternate that gets that seat! :up:
