PHSC 2016 Nursing Hopefuls

Published

Going to jumpstart this topic!

Good Luck to all the 2016 hopefuls!

So the cpr class is separate from the nch 0050 correct? Or is nch the cpr class

Nch is the CPR course

Ahhh ok that's where I got confused bc it said cpr and then comma and there's a comma after nch 0050 so I thought it was listing all the items I didn't realize it was one in the same.

Just wanted to pop in and say good luck to all of you. The program can be stressful at times so stick with your classmates, they will be your extended family through the program.

We also have several groups on FB for our extended medical family. Some good study tips and nonsense in the group. This is the generic group.

I have to second what my goober friend Ohlsson up there said....(love you buddy). Nothing in life will EVER replace the bond you make with your fellow nursing school buddies. I have made some awesome 'sisters' through the LPN program that I wouldn't replace for the world. We have laughed together, cried together, and cheered each other on for the past year and I personally couldn't have made it without them !!!!

Hopefully 12 days til we start receiving our letters. Anybody have a back up plan if they don't get in? I'll be honest I put all my eggs in one basket on this one. I really hope I didn't make a bad decision with that.

This is my only plan too and if I don't get in AGAIN I will study for that teas again retake it and apply again and again until one day I'm accepted :-)

Honestly I plan on applying into the airforce and go through nursing school that way. I planned to do the AF even after I get all my schooling completed, I figure what better way to put my education to work than to give it to those who need it most. I mean my end all goal would be to be NP/OBGYN but while going to get my masters I plan on being in the AF. But we will see how this works out first

I want to eventually be an ARNP and specialize in pedi or OBGYN I really need to get in this time around. I don't want to keep wasting time so i hope hope hope I get in.

Does anyone have an in on when fundamentals will be for the spring semester, like which days a week lecture and lab/clinicals will be at each campus??

They show it on course schedules. It says 2015 but it's actually 2016 bc Jan 11 next yr is a Monday and this yr it's was a sunday. I can't remember the days but it's online already

Well if that's the case so much for me working much while in the program the transition program is Monday through Thursday 2pm-11pm it looks like.
