i am relocating from charleston, south carolina to dallas, texas area and have two phone interviews set up this week. i have been an rn for about 2.5yrs and a lpn for a year prior to that. i have soo many questions. i do not know what to expect on these phone interviews. also dont know what to expect in regards to what is a reasonable wage amount. i dont want to sell myself short because i just want a position before i move.
also, what are good areas to live in where there is also a good school system. my bil said the north irving has good schools, but they are also pricey. so i figured i would reach out on here to see if i can get some questions answered.
thanks
Yes that is true ... some areas of Irving are not so desirable. You must be very careful!!! Do not forget about the school areas as well !! And you do not want to find yourself in a traffic situation...anywhere along the 183 is a slow crawl!!! That is the main route to DFW Airport and to Dallas and to Fort Worth.
I have been looking online and was told that Irving was a pretty good area too. I guess DFW would be a closer spot since I would be working in North Richland Hills. I wont be in the area until a wk prior to my start date. So i have been doing the scary thing of applying for apts online. Just dont want to be in a bad area and be stuck for a year.Shawn
I live at Regency on the Green, they are about 5 minutes up the road from North Hills Hospital and you wouldn't have to get on the freeway at all. Every apt has a one car attached garage which is nice. I'm currently taking prerequisite classes for nursing and have thought about applying at North Hills Hospital for PCT or Unit Secretary while in school. I'm 44 now and have lived in this area since I was 3, let me know if you have any other questions. Best of luck! :)
