Phlebotomy school then nursing

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I have been in the medical transcription field for over 10 years now and I have watched it literally go down the tubes. I am in my late 40s and always wanted to get into nursing but time got away from me and I never did. So, I have now decided to pursue it along with phlebotomy so that I can get out of this job asap. The phlebotomy school is 6 weeks. My plan is to complete that, get certified, a job, and then next year get into a nursing program. I have a school in mind and I will have some prereqs to get out of the way not to mention passing the hesi, but I am going for it. Ill be nursing (hopefully) in my 50s, but I will finally be doing what I always wanted to do.
