Hello!
Are there any current applicants or students that are applying or in the Phillips School of Nursing at Mount Sinai? I have several specific questions to ask but the recording machine says to leave the message via Contact Us feature after I called them. However, I couldn't see any message box that I can leave a message.
My questions are:
1. I will be graduating with a bachelor in Psychology in May. I wonder whether the math classes I took meet the requirements for the Math for Medication that they required.
2."Submission of a writing sample (term paper from an upper division course in your previous college major). If you graduated from college more than 10 years ago, contact the Admissions Office to obtain a list of alternative essay topics."
- Can I hand in my research article that I am done with psychology researching course?
3. If the Math classes I took don't fit the requirements, where can I take "Math for Medication"?
4. "Ethics" Where can I take this class?
I will try to go to an info session they offer. But it's pretty unlikely because of the working conflicts. If anyone can help me, I will be truly appreciated.

I considered that school for my ABSN for a while. However, after I found out how many pre-reqs I had to complete, I was very much discouraged. I felt like there was no reason for me to take extra courses like math for med calc, and ethics, which will cost me more money and time. However, to answer your questions, your research paper is fine, and you can take math for med calc at some CUNY schools. I cannot recall which one but I know some of them do have those courses. In terms of ethics, I have no idea. You may try some private schools like St. Francis in Brooklyn. Good luck!
Thanks for your help!
I totally feel you. CUNY Hunter needs to take Genetics, Nutritions, and OrganicChem, which I think it's crazy. Compare to that, I only need math for medications and ethics for PSON.

True. I am actually at Hunter right now. For the reasons you described above I am not applying to Hunter's SON. However, Phillips is a private school and is, therefore, expensive. So, I do not want to take my chances, especially when I do not have that much left in the student loans to cover almost $50000 to pay for their ABSN.
