Phillips Beth Israel 2013 Applicants

U.S.A. New York

Published

In the process of putting together my application for PBISN 2013. Who else is applying? I'm curious to hear from current students and recent grads--what was your background? Your NLN scores/GPA? Thoughts on the program?

Good luck everyone!

I guess my concern isn't whether or not I will be able to find a job in NY, but being nationally accredited means that the school will be recognized anywhere. Should my family and I decide to leave NY in the future, I don't want to get to my destination only to find out that the school I went too isn't recognized.

Congratulations though...wow 2-3 weeks! You're gpa and nln score must be great!

I got an email today confirming my interview for Beth Israel. Does anybody know how long after the interview they tell you if you are accepted? Thanks for any help.

Just got my e-mail for the interview today as well. Do any previous interviewees remember the type of questions that are asked? Any preparation tips or advice? Thank you! *crossing my fingers*

JoniNY- Good luck on your interview. I heard that they refrence your essay and ask you your strengths and weaknesses. I think it is basic interview type questions.

Specializes in surgical, geriatrics.

Did both of you already submit your NLN? I'm taking mine on the 20th, maybe I should move it forward. I'd be surprised/heartbroken if I didn't even get an interview--I've been working with BI for years, hoped that count for something...

I submitted mine the last week in January and I completed my application 2 weeks later.

Thank you nmh1888! :) I was reading on another thread how the interview is really laid back and they mainly go over how the program works. Im still skeptical but really hoping that's true.

ebinbrooklyn- I took my PAX-RN exam last week and submitted my application in January. When I called admissions, they said they receive the NLN score within a week of you taking it. So just make sure you submit your application before submitting your NLN score/taking your test. Good luck all!

Jodi- They recieved my NLN score the day after I took the exam. I was told that during the interview they tell you about the specifics of the program and go over schedules and which program would be the best fit.

Great, even better! Are you currently applying to any other programs Nmh1888?

I heard not long after your interview you get your acceptance

I am still waiting to hear from NYU and SUUNY Downstate ABDN programs. I already have a bachelor degree.

When is the interview? Are you nervous?
