What's your citizenship?

When did you graduate?

My citizenship is the Philippines and graduated onApril 2007.

You should provide what they are asking of you. If you don't have a PRC license then inform them.

Thanks! I guess the best way is to call and ask Ca BRN.

You'll find that based on your comments, the CA BRN will require (A). a copy of your PH nursing license AND (B). a valid SS# that allows you to work in the States (effective April, 2010). Not submitting a copy of a current and valid PH nursing license stands very much to be rejected until you can show them proof. Not providing the SS# on the application is an automatic rejection (it's clearly stated in BOLD) and you stand to lose your application fees, which is also clearly stated, it's NON REFUNDABLE.

If you were of either a US citizen or a dual citizen, the CA BRN currently allows the PH nursing license to waived, as the Phils typically doesn't allow USC to take the NLE, the CA BRN knows this, but needs it in writing in the case, they find later on, it's not true and they will either suspend or revoke the license and claim it as a fraud application.

CA BRN needs to see the PH license so that they can verify with the PH nursing board, that the license is valid to help curb the growing amount of fraudulent applications.

Anyways, if you read thru the many threads and topics here, CA BRN has been denying the vast majority of PH applicants since Nov. 2011, the date of the strict enforcement of the CA BRN concurrency rules established in 1957.

The Phils is not the only country affected by either the concurrency or the very possible lack of certain courses that several other nurse from other countries have to find the difficult courses to meet the CA BRN educational requirements.

China, India, UK, Russia, some Latin countries are all missing certain components of their education so they must be taken in order to comply with the CA BRN requirements.

Getting any out of state RN license is not an automatic endorsement nor a guarantee to be endorsed back into CA, as you will be asked to provide the exact same set of documents to the CA BRN for further review.

There is no nursing shortage and the demand for PH nurses no longer exists, not only in CA but in most of the more popular states. The hiring preferences today are going to the local grads from either in state or out of state, but then, even they are finding a hard time to get a job.

Hi! Im in the same situation. Any updates on ur NCLEX? Thanks :)
