yes when they contact you for training then youll end up there. there not in the process of hiring staff nurse. after the training you will wiat for months.

thanks for replying to my thread.

anyway, are you connected with TMC? the staff in the personnel department did mention about the 1 month training before deployment but dont quite remember if she mentioned about the "wait" period.

just the same, its better to wait than having nothing to look forward to right.

How long did you have to wait before you were called for the interview?

yes you have to undergo the 4 weeks training and aftre that you have to wait if they will contact you, there are lots of nurses already who are ahead of you and have done there training and difinitely there on the first list. thats the problem with hospital now there offering training as a manpooling purposes.

hi! I am about to take the examination for medical city next week. i heard it's more on medical surgical nursing? and is it true it has enumeration and identification items?

and how many interviews would i expect after passing that exam?

i would greatly appreciate your help.=) thanks in advance!

I went to TMC for my first interview 2 months after I took the "nursing" and psychological exam. Then they sent me a text message to come for the final interview less than a week after the initial interview. And now I'm patiently waiting for the orientation.

I'm just keeping my fingers crossed and not dwell on the negative side :)

hi may i know when you passed your application for TMC? i'm kinda wondering how long it takes the HR to process an application.. thanks!!!

after the training, i have been waiting for around 4 months now and counting...lol

but of course, that 4 months went to something productive...

if you get to finish the training, i advise you to apply for something else first so as for you not to get really really bored. =)

I want to file my application at the medical city. I am a June 2008 board passer. I have worked as a volunteer nurse for a private hospital in our province for five months without pay. I am currently working as a staff nurse in another tertiary hospital now but with a 100 bed capacity. I am confuse whether to push through with my desire to apply at medical city thus having the chance to work in a bigger hospital or just stay here in the province and continue my work as a staff nurse. I graduated from one of the best nursing schools in Manila and and I feel so disappointed to be just working in our province. I need enlightenment. Thanks

though it only has a 100 bed capacity, bear in mind that you're at a tertiary hospital!!! i think it's not bad if you establish your professional career there first and move to a bigger hospital after wards... it's like growth and development: first, you should learn how to crawl, before you could start walking... personally, since right now that the competition is still gut wrenching, (nurses are very keen and will take advantage of the attrition of a staff on a hospital) i'd rather stay there rather than start from scratch again... but of course, you're not gonna stay there for good (a good 1-2year/s will do i guess?!?)... it will serve as your stepping stone to a bigger hospital... and believe me, experience is way more important than the name of the school... albeit the prestige of the school will be there, but you need to establish your career first...

hi!

I got a message from medical city that I am scheduled for an interview for the staff nurse position for their wellness section. I am interested but I am not familiar with the "wellness section" though I search the TMC site I am not sure what it is.

If anyone here have informations please post them.

Thank you all!:redpinkhe
