This is the only question that I can respond to. Apply for the license for which you are educated and prepared to take the NCLEX. You cannot apply for an RN licensure without the education or the ability to sit for the NCLEX-RN.
I'm sure others will be along to answer the rest of your questions. Good luck!
i applied march 2016 and they replied september 2016 that they received everything i sent. but i need to find a different authorized agency to evaluate my credentials. I called them which took them forever to answer and i said that they didnt require that when the first time i applied. so i asked for my school again to send me sealed transcripts and everything. i sent bvnpt the remaining requirements on feb 2017 and just waiting for them to reply again

Greetings,
Hi guys, I am a nursing graduate in the Philippines and I just got back home in California last December. I took the local board exam in the Philippines and I passed it. I plan on staying in California to be with family and I have a few questions regarding the CGFNS.
I know that in order to be an RN in California, I am required to take additional classes here. My plan is to work as an LVN first to save up for nursing school and get that RN license. My question is on the CGFNS application process, mainly about the CES.
This might be a dumb question but I just need some clarity. I am asked to choose between which license should I apply for: a licensed practical nurse or a registered nurse, or should I choose the registered nurse option right away?
I mean after I get my LVN license do I need to apply again in CGFNS and redo everything in the process for the RN license? (reevaluation and another payment) after im done with the nursing school requirements or will the CGFNS keep my former records for me?
Also for the recipients should I choose BOTH the CABON and the CA board of vocational nurse? or JUST one of other?
Sorry it's my first time dealing with the CGFNS and I am a bit clueless. Any answers or queries would really help.
Thanks and God bless you nurses. :)
