Does anyone know if Phenergan is addictive.? I know its not a narcotic, but we've seen an increase in pts asking for it.

Hey, anyone here use Benedryl for migraines? I am just curious....I feel like I may have one coming on and typically, I have to load up on Motrin, Tylenol and Benedryl just to survive them and stay out of ER. Lord, I hate this time of month. I would hate worse to be seen as a "drug seeker" in any ER so I deal w/it at home. But it usually means 24 or more hours out of commission. That really sucks......

Ugh, I hope I have headed this one off w/the above meds.....I loaded up on the max doses of each....except 25 mg of Benedryl. Any more, and I am nearlyl somnolent! UGH I HATE THIS!!!! it really ruins my day. :o

If you have migraines, why would would you possibly care if you are thought of as " drug-seeking " ? In my experience, most drug-seekers are people that have consistently been UNDERtreated for their pain. If you have pain, you have every right to be treated for it. It is now considered a form of negligence if they fail to appropriately treat pt's for pain.

Suffice it to say, I do care. I have seen enough posts on here to know the attitude exists that place non-drug-seekers in the defensive position. I see ER nurses who say fibromyalgia is a fabricated disorder, and that migraines are faked all the time. It does daunt us....

And, I don't wish to argue with you on this issue........My headache is improving, but still with me in the background, probably affecting my current emotional state. Have a good day!
