I want to meet some of you! I'm just getting ready to take my last 3 finals, have been studying for the TEAS for months now, and will be able to apply for next fall's nursing program (YAYAY!) I'd love to hear from some potential future classmates, how you are doing/ did with pre-reqs/ TEAS, and share the excitement upon acceptances!
Not sure who here believes in our Creator, but I'm telling you reading this stuff made me think "WoW! He thought of EVERYTHING!" Simply amazing how our bodies work.
It's so ironic that you mention this...I think that's part of the reason why I find A and P so intriguing...there are so many things that could go wrong in the human body any given moment, yet things (for the most part) continue to function without flaw. And that's not even to hit on how intricate the structures of the body are! It's just truly amazing and, for me, really confirms my belief in intelligent design.
Oh I hope I didn't make anyone feel badI just figured its helpful to see what admissions is looking at. Now I'm worrying! Really though, I think we all have a GREAT shot and with 25 extra seats, we should all definitely be in!
My favorite class was also anatomy. The human body fascinates me. I often rub my arm and say "Thank you body." Lol my least favorite is chemistry. I just couldn't understand it. This was years ago when I was at USF so maybe I'd get it now, but doubtful!
No, no....I dont think anyone should feel bad. I think it is helpful to us and to lurkers who dont want to post.
I also think everyones stats look great :)
Chemistry - Yeah, I had a hard time wrapping my brain around it....although I didnt take a chem class, it was just whatever was covered in A&P.
Hey has anyone seen that new PHSC commercial on tv? I had to rewind it to pause on the lpn uniform because I think it's similar to the rn uniform. Ahhhhh can't wait!
I think the only difference between the two uniforms is the color of our bands around the arm.. I mean THE bands, not OUR bands LPN's are green and yellow and RN's are black and yellow. Oh I so want black! COME ON BLACK!
Jupiter! I did the same thing! Lol I'm literally cracking up right now! They also have a radio ad now!!
I'm going to have to chime in and say that I FREAKING HATE CHEMISTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!! With a passion. A classmate from my speech class is a chemistry major as his premed and I somehow sweet talked him into tutoring me. He tried to help me understand the very elementary chemistry concepts for A and P and I could tell he just wanted to hit me upside the head with my book! It just doesn't click for me!
afwife - look how cute you look with your new stethoscope :)
When it finally came after being back ordered for a month I about wet my pants in excitement! My husband works night shift, so he was sleeping during this time, but that didn't keep me from waking him up so I could listen to his heart and breath/bowel sounds ;-)
