I want to meet some of you! I'm just getting ready to take my last 3 finals, have been studying for the TEAS for months now, and will be able to apply for next fall's nursing program (YAYAY!) I'd love to hear from some potential future classmates, how you are doing/ did with pre-reqs/ TEAS, and share the excitement upon acceptances!

Yes! Same here. I think it's time to set up a private Facebook group. Should we make new names that match our screen names or use our real accounts ?

I don't have a Facebook anymore. No one ever posted and some people were annoying me so I deactivated it, but if everyone else joins a group then I could always reactivate my account. We definitely all need to stay in touch!

Did you guys notice that on the background check we will be asked to upload medical records of immunizations? Really overwhelmed!

The health dept is the quickest way and cheapest way to go. They accept walk ins. You can obtain your shot records from the high school you graduated from/pediatrician/health dept...some info that I received today, thought it might be helpful.

Be careful about health dept. and do your research before you pay them. my dad last year got his varicella teter done there and it took them almost one month to get results back! He even paid 100 and it was rushed! His advice to me was to go get physical from a walk in clinic like cvs or your PCP, and have them write you a script for labs so it will only cost 56$ Or less

Also I know the RN packet was sent out yesterday, I received it. I even went in and she told me that she was sending it out last night. but my boyfriend in the Lpn program did not receive his. Are any lpns having problems with not having their emailed package yet?

Did anyone receive a supplies list or are we probably getting it at the last minute at orientation? I found one from last year through here, but I'm not sure if supplies have been updated or changed at all.

I was wondering the same thing...I've been digging through old threads to see where people went for physicals etc and saw someone post a supply list but dont see one in our packet.
