pharmacology question

Hi everyone. I am a aspiring nurse and I have a pharmacology question. If a pt have 1 cup of milk, 2 cups of tea, 1/2 cup of gelatin, 1/2 cup of soup, and 1/4 quart of water. How many ounces did they get? I know 1oz=30ml and 1 cup=240 ml. I am confused on 1/2 and 1/4. Could you tell me how to add this up. I am getting ready to start nursing school and I want to understand everything.

That is not right. There is 32 ounces in 1 quart, divide 32 ounces by 4 and you get 8 ounces.

Ahh, but 1 quart = 4 cups. 1 cup = 8 oz. That makes the original equation (that you called "not right") correct.

OP, see how internet equations can be confusing?

True, but metric was part of the information she listed- and could be confusing when being used to one system, hearing about another, and trying to figure out the answer... just saying that it's ok to ask questions without hearing how someone 'should' know something..... we all had to learn in the beginning :) (writing with a smile :))
