Pharmacology at Lone Star

I'm taking pharm this upcoming fall and I have the option to take it online or on campus. I love the idea of taking it at home, but without knowing how much material I'll be expected to know and learn I'm hesitant on doing this. If you've taken it what would you recommend?

Specializes in Forensic Psych.

I just finished up online last week. In a 6 week course we covered about 15 chapters per week. It was a LOT of reading. The tests weren't proctored so we could use our books, but the questions, time limits, and massive amount of material meant you couldn't actually rely on that at all.

However, I have friends who never had to read the book at all, just memorize drugs and adverse effects and that's about it.

I would get on ratemyprofessor before picking an online class for sure!

For right now I'm signed up for the 16 week online course through Kwood so hopefully the longer time span will help. As of right now there is no professor listed but I keep checking back periodically to see if they've added names so I can look them up. Lol
