pharmacology class question.

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I am taking A&P Fall and Winter semester and will bentaking Microbiology summer semester. I need to fit in pharmacology in either winter or summer semester. In my.program you receive bonus points for nursing entery for a pharmacology grade of 3.5 or above. My question is, how hard is pharmacology class? Also, when/with what other class should I take pharmacology?

I was thinking of taking pharmacology in summer with micro. Is this a good or bad idea?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I personally would not take Pharm during the short summer session -- there is too much information and it too important to try to learn everything in only 8 weeks...

Your question depends on your ability to study and retain information. Are you a fast study, what's your GPA, etc... Some people have a difficult time with regular courses let alone a short session class. Another point I would like to make is that how interested are you in the class? If it's just another prereq that you must take you and don't really have an interest in it than I would wait, but if your super stoked and love the material than that would be a plus and the material wouldn't be such a burden. Psst...it's also the professor; some can bog you down with senseless homework and others are more pragmatic and easy especially in a short session.

My opinion is that A&P during the summer would be intense enough, but even I wouldn't take micro with it unless I wanted to suffer bad grades. Don't make the mistake of thinking that since it's a summer course the material will be less because it won't...at least that's my experience. :)
