I wanted to get some extra workbooks so that it would be easier for me to study for pharm.

Which books would you guys suggest? I know of the "Incredibly Easy" series.. Are there any other books you'd recommend?

Thanks!!

I start pharm next term and I bought some pharm flash cards. I think they are called pharm phlash at Barnes and Noble! I obviously haven't used them yet but they look like they will be helpful and it will be a different way to study!

I used the incredibly easy, the pharm plash cards, but I also really liked the Mosby's pharmacology memory nore cards (mnemonic) it's small enough to throw in your purse, I used to pull it out while sitting in waiting rooms for appointments and while my daughters would be in dance class. You can find all of these on Amazon, inexpensive & quick delivery. Sign up for student prime (just needs your school email) free shipping and depending where you live no tax.

Does your school use ATI? I found my ATI pharm book to be very helpful.

Also, when you get a chance look for some of the old mnemonics threads posted here, they saved me.

I have the review and rational pharm book. I love those series books, I have used them from the start of first semester. They have helped me to better grasp the material if I can't from the book. I am in pharm now so I will see if this one actually helps.

No, I'm pretty sure our school doesn't use ATI. But I'll look into the mnemonics!

I bet you could probably find the ATI study guide for pharm on ebay - I saw copies going for as little as $2.99. I ended up using that more than my textbook because it was to the point and listed those things that were specific to each drug class that you should look out for (like Rifampin turning your tears and sweat orange) and it had some NCLEX style questions at the end of each chapter. I found it to be a really well organized and concise summary of what we learned.

I used the Made Incredibly Easy, and loved it! it explained everything so much better than my textbook!
