Hi, I took the initiative to start another thread about PGH since the first thread closed. My dear colleagues please keep posting your inquiries, updates and what not about PGH in this thread.
Thanks!
Questions would include funda and some MS concepts. The first half questions are easy and would only yield 1 point each.. However, I did had a problem answering the next half, which weigh 2 points each and requires your critical analysis and judgment.
There are some items on basic anatomy (maximum bladder capacity) and physiology (where does a certain macronutrient is primarily absorbed/digested).. foods allowed or prohibited in specific diets (low purine diet).. which insulin to be aspirated first (Regular or NPH).. babinski reflex.. bloodborne illnesses (which instance will cause transmission).
I can hardly remember most of the questions.. but I can say that it's a fairly challenging exam.. most of the 2-item points are very tricky and can be compared to NLE questions. I didn't even expect that I will pass on my first take for it was a year after I took the NLE, and I was having my training then so I failed to browse any review material.
So I advise that you study well.. and during the exam, pray. I guess, the latter helped me in getting a barely passing mark.
I hope I pass. mine was set B. and it was really easy.
I wish you all the best nrgacias. You are blessed. Just continue praying for it. I told you Set B was really easy. As I mentioned in my previous posts, me & my schoolmate got Set B during the NPE although she took hers 2 weeks after I had taken mine & we both passed.
I'm scheduled for the panel interview on July.. still got a long way to go. Fortunately, I was recently hired as a probationary staff nurse in a tertiary hospital in Pasay. But, I'm still considering to work in PGH (if I pass), so I will go on with the process.
Good for you. I am half-way done with the screening process...just waiting for the final interview and then deployment (I want to be very optimistic about getting a staff nurse post in PGH because I have been praying for this for a couple of years now). Unlike you who are currently working as a probationary staff nurse, I am currently engaged in the RN HEALS program at NCMH. If given a plantilla post, I will definitely just stay there until such a time when PGH calls for deployment (with fingers crossed). Oh well, whatever God's will is and wherever He wants to put me in, I will surely accept it. :-)
Guys who among you have been summoned for the final interview already? Can you give me a time frame on how long is the gap between the panel interview and the final interview and how long will it take before you are deployed as staff nurse after passing the final interview. I just want to know because after the election ban I will be submitting my requirements to a local hospital nearby. It takes about less than a year to get in since we know somebody there but I am worried because once in, there will be a bond for 2 years meaning, I won't be able to retrieve any of my important credentials including my PRC Certificate, Diploma and TOR if I opted to leave before the bond expires and it might just coincide with the opportunity at PGH if ever.
