Perception of Problems Faced by New Graduates and the Ideal New Graduate Employee

As a homework assignment, I need a head nurse to discuss his/her perception of problems faced by new graduates and the ideal new graduate employee. Would a head nurse mind answering this for me?

Let's not lay all the faults on the doorsteps of new nurses, cos in all fairness, sometimes, the seasoned nurses are equally as mean as all get out.

I know not everyone is helpful and that is a shame but the truth is I think that the experience you have with your new team is often more about you than them. Maybe my experience is unique but I was not treated poorly by the more experienced nurses. Some were definitely more helpful and friendly but I can't say I was ever made to feel bad by the ones that weren't as thrilled as I was to be working there. Now that I've been there for several years those nurses are some of my favorites so I think they just took some time to get used to me. Open yourself to learning from them and acknowledge their generosity.
