My current manager is a great person but is completely oblivious to the fact that our ratios suck. I am sick of working 13 hours straight without getting a meal break. Some days I go ten hours without peeing. I go home so exhausted that I couldn't move off the couch even if my house was on fire. Then, I'm back the next day to do it all again.

I am leaving for a 9-5 M-F job in infection control where my workload and the pace of my day will not be dictated by the arbitrary decisions of whoever happens to be the charge nurse. I am hoping to regain my physical and emotional health for the sake of my family and myself.
