hi.. i just want to hear your opinion about pentagon review specialists regarding their nclex review.. before, i prefer enrolling in kaplan but then my cousin told me that she and her batchmates failed the nclex exam last june and they had their review class in kaplan.. at first, i cannot belive her because there are many people who are recommending kaplan live lecture.. but i know, still the result of the nclex will depend on the reviewee.but knowing that she is not the only one who failed but most of her batchmates in their rview class...
still, i dont want to waste money that's why im looking for another review center.. i have read in URC's website that there review is from jan-april.. and im planning to have my review this august, pentagon is the only review center i know offering review class on august, aside from kaplan... i enrolled in pentagon for their NLE review, and it's good.. but i dont know if it will be the same with nclex..

Actually, I have the same dilemma. I attended penta's local review and is now having second thoughts of attending their NCLEX review. URC's website is not updated. I believe they have review schedule this month. So, it'll be better if you call them and ask for their sched. I asked my classmate who attened both penta's local and NCLEX review. She said, the review was ALMOST the same but there are diseases, disorders and meds that were added. Also, ethics and transcultural nursing were emphasized. Well, i'm 80% sure that I will attend penta's NCLEX review (although I know for a fact that some of their lectures will be the same). For me, their teaching style is far more effective than any other reviewers. :-) Good luck to us. By the way, I'm looking for a study partner too. Just pm me if you wanna be pentagon study partners. We can include my buddie's mum in our review.
hei, thank you very much for your reply.... yeah,, i am considering their very good strategy in teaching, they really make the concepts easily compreshensible, last NLE, i thank mr. luansing for the research topic because all of the test have research..
actually i just want to hear some opinions about pentagon but then i really want to have my nclex review there.. i have heard also from my classmate's friend that their review is almost the same with the nle review, that's why im having second thoughts. may i ask, how many percent of their nclex lecture is not included in the nle review?? have u made reservation already with pentagon? do you know where's the venue of the review, because when i asked them last july 6, they are still not decided on where the nclex review will be held..
about study partners, :idea:that's a very good idea!!!! by the way, what role will your buddie's mom do?

I would suggest that you do self review, a lot of us do self review and even the US nurses that I know here did self review for the NCLEX and passed. If you have good study materials you will be fine. I did self review for the NCLEX.
Not yet. Maybe this weekend or any day before aug.4. I'm not sure how much more info/lecture they added this time. I'm after the teaching style they do to remember their lecture/notes/facts. Plus plus the confidence they give you. It's like everytime you leave the room, you're ready to take the exam. :-)

Please take the time to do some reading on the forums here. Do not recommend one review center there for the NCLEX exam. There have been too many issues that have been well publized in the past year with several of the larger ones.
There is no reason what so ever that you cannot do the review on your own and pass it the first time.
i have read the previous threads.. but the pentagon has already been proven to be not part of the leakage issue.. it was printed in the leading newspapers last june.. anyways, thank you for your concern..
I do not care what was printed in your papers, it does not matter in the US. That they were even involved last year or even thought to be is all that matters. And funny that it took 10 months for them to post that. Just proves what I have been saying.
There are employers in the US that will not even consider hiring anyone that attended a review at one of those three centers. The choice is yours to make, we are only giving you our opinion on it.
There are now hundreds of thousands from your country that want to work in the US, employers have every right to become more and more selective. And that is exactly what you are going to see.
