Pensacola State Students.....Waiting period?

Recent students accepted in the RN Program...

How long did you wait to get into the program once you had your prerequisites finished? I get different answers each time I ask. Today I was told waiting list was a year long. I’m taking my last pre req class this semester and hoping to get in ASAP!

Hi! I'm in my 2nd semester now. I honestly think the office just tells everyone that. I personally only waited 1 semester after my preqs and it was no big deal because I just took micro while waiting which if you didn't take yet I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to get it out of the way. I feel like as long as you do good on your HESI entrance test you will be fine. I know quite a few people who took the HESI after the deadline and they got their acceptance email like days after.

I will be finished with pre reqs this semester and should hopefully start the program in the Fall. I plan on taking micro this Summer, I was thinking it’s better to get out of the way!
