Penn Valley Entrance Difficulty

Published

Hello all!

I'm totally stressing about getting in to Penn Valley. I've decided to apply in August and I'm curious how difficult it is to get in. If you don't mind posting your GPA and how many preferance points you had to get in, I'd be ever so appreciative!

I'm taking my last pre-req over the summer. So I'm certain I'm going to be one preference point short, because I don't have time to take Micro before application.

Thanks again!

I too will be applying to the Penn Valley Eve/Wkend option this August. Like you, I have all my re-req's (and almost all of my gen ed's) done except for Micro.

So, my GPA is 3.47, no micro, and no direct patient experience. I'm hoping that's enough to allow me to take the TEAS and then hopefully I can do it. I am really nervous. I really want to get in as it would be easier for me to go at night than during the day.

I am taking Micro this fall semester so if I don't get in at night I will try for the day program....we'll see.

Specializes in cardiac.

I had 6 points....4 for all A's in the pre-reqs, 1 for mirco, and 1 for in district.

GPA 3.75.

I was accepted to take the TEAS and missed my test due because my water broke so they allowed me to take the test 2 weeks later and I was put on the waiting list. I got a 78% on the TEAS and got the call last Friday that I could start cause someone wasn't able to go.

That was my second time applying, the first time I only had 5 points which was not enough to be invited to take the TEAS.

Jane and MadsMommy I'm curious to know how it is going. Did either of you get accepted yet? I'm in the middle of my gen eds and plan to apply to Penn Valley next August. Post an update when you get a chance.

Thanks
