I've been reading old posts here about Penn Foster College's Information Literacy class (for the Excelsior LPN to ADN program), but I've been having issues trying to sign up with them. I email them and they keep giving me the same generic message that I either need to email them or call to enroll. I emailed them and they gave me a number to call and it only works if I have a student ID number. I called the number on the website and the guy said the course didn't exist. I looked at the catolog online and it's there in black and white. I have no idea what is going on and why they are giving me the run around. Has anyone else taken this course recently? Does it still exist or am I just crazy? Thanks!

I took it last month. I called and asked for Ann Gardner. She is in charge of the information. Maybe this will help you. The cost is $115.95 and they mail the transcript to excelsior.

Thanks! I'll try to call again Monday. I really hope I can get this class, it's so much cheaper at Penn Foster!

$115? I just enrolled for $105.

You still have to pay an additional $10 to have your transcripts mailed to Excelsior after you finish the course. So the total is $115.

And here I thought I was getting off with a discount. I should have known. Still not bad IMO.

That's what I thought too but they charge $15 to mail the study book even though you can download it. Oh well it's still cheaper than $300+ dollars.
