Peds at Bridgeport Hosp info needed

I may be relocating from the UK to take up a post here. I am a PNP in the UK and have NClex.

What is the surrounding area like?

Housing I have a 5 and 6 yr old and Husband Initally plan to rent then buy and suggestions to areas? How is commuting and how far is reasonable to move out of the city?

Good School areas?

Anybody work there can give me any info?

You have alot to consider...I live in trumbull. It is a very nice town extremely close to the hospital (15 minutes). As towns in the Bridgeport area are concerned Trumbull is much more affordable than Fairfield. Schools are great in either town. By the time you consider the high taxes in Bpt and the fact that you'll probably have to enroll your kids in private school. Bridgeport won't be a consideration.

My wife and I grew up in this area and either town is great. Great community, very comfortable, people are friendly. Trumbull offers public pools. Fairfield has the beach. It is nice to live so close the NYC but be a world away from it at the same time.

You might want to consider renting for a while until you get comfortable with the area and where you and your family would be most at home.
