There are other threads on this topic that you might find of assistance. Overall, I have not seen any mnemonics on this. Unfortunately, it is something that you will just have to try your best to memorize/understand. What helped me was "picturing" the children of certain ages completing certain tasks. Think of children that you know either in your family or children of friends, how old are they? What type of tasks can they accomplish?
Keep in mind, you cannot know everything. It is impossible. Try your best to acquire a basic understanding of this topic and move on. Don't spend too much energy on one subject.
I too struggled with preparing for pediatric material when it came to NCLEX. What helped me was the Nursing Made Incredibly Easy Pediatric book. Very easy to understand and very helpful. Breaks down the growth and development, immunizations, etc nicely and provides sample practice questions with easy to understand rationales.
Best wishes.

Having hard time with pediatrics. I am preparing for NCLEX and I am having hard time remembering each stage of kids and the activity they do. For example; 8 months-they can stand straight up. 12 months- they can drink from cup...etc. Is there any mnemonics that can help me remember the age stage of kids and what they do in each stage?
I would like to know how other people are reading for this.
Thanks in advance!
