Are you talking as books for school or work? For school..your textbooks are usually good references to keep..Whaley and Wong for Pediatrics is a good one; they also have a clinical manual that goes along with the textbook. Best place to look and purchase books is to go to a medical campus bookstore. They usually have the books sorted into specific categories..ie psych, pedicatrics, adults, heme/onc, pharmacology; browse through the shelves. But definitely Whaley and wong. You can also look at the required book list for nursing classes and see what the instructors require/suggest for their students.
Thank you NursPrl,
I am looking for pediatric Nursing book to keep at the university library for students seeking their BSN in nursing or to keep it in my library at home that will help me in preparing any material that I can give to students or to the pediatric nurses since I work as a pediatric clinical educator.
Thank you.

FYI there are 2 Whaley and Wong texts. I have Essentials of Pediatric Nursing which is an abridged version of the full text... Care of Infants and Children? Sounds like you would want the full text.
I also recommend "Moseby's Pediatric Nursing Reference" by Betz and Sowden as a nice quick-look up book or supplement to W&W It's organized by diagnosis and written in outline form.
Our pediatricians keep a copy of Nelson's Textbook of Pediatrics on the unit for the residents and I do use that book, too. It inlcudes at least a small blurb about many dx that the nursing texts don't cover.
Of course Harriet Lane is also a must have for pedi pathology and pharmacology. I try to keep that in my homecare bag along with the Moseby's reference.
