Hi! I am wondering if there are any Pediatric NPs who are school nurses as well? Is there a specific school-pedi NP role? Thanks!

I remember seeing a program or two that trained school nurse practitioners.

Thanks! Unfortunately that program is not close to me and I don't think there are any local ones near me like that. But it's good to know that there are programs out there. Hopefully more schools create programs like it.

many PNPs work as school nurses, many others work in school based health clinics, not the same thing. Right now the federal government funding expects school based health clinics to treat entire family, not just students, so they are hiring FNPs.
