Published

 I took my nclex pn in california April,1 2015. After 2 weeks, I still haven't got my results so I did the pearson vue trick and it accepted my card! So means I failed! Test stopped at 205, last question being a sata. Can anyone give me advance on what books/cds I should study with, something similar to the actuall nclex, I studied with saunders for this one. Please help!!

What other materials did you use aside from saunders?

That's all I used

I used Saunders and the Kaplan review. While expensive, I felt Kaplan offered me a wonderful process for eliminating wrong answers when I had no clue what the question was about. I tend to over think things and second-guess myself. So, having a process kept me moving right along and made it easier for me to just accept that I decided on an answer. With their help and my knowledge...and some luck...I passed. I highly recommend them.

OK thanks so much! So did u get the kaplan nclex review book or u went into a website? ? If so, which one? Thanks!!

I did the Kaplan class in person. You can do it one of three ways--in person, live on the internet, or recorded sessions. I know myself, and knew I wouldn't study much on my own, so I did the 1-week course in person. It was really fantastic, not boring at all. Then I did all the practice tests online. They have 7 you need to do for analyzing, plus the question bank you can access. Do everything they offer. Their questions are HARD. They are meant to mimic the NCLEX. They find that most students who pass the NCLEX get about 65% right on the Kaplan tests. So it's a realistic way to practice, since the NCLEX makes you feel so terrible about yourself :)

Hello, have you looked into NCSBN's learning extension program?

No I haven't. Is that one good?

Word of advice-- Remember this is the internet and informtaion is easy to obtain, Identity theft is high, and potential employers can "find" you on the web.. It is better to NOT use your real name on your account. Please consider changing it ASAP! and Best wishes!

Oh okay. I didn't know! How do I change the name? I can't figure it out?
