The PVT works the same in every state (including California) because Pearson Vue administers the NCLEX in every state. Of course, not every state participates in Quick Results, and that shows up only after 48 hours in the states that do participate in it. After about 24 hours post-test, the PVT should be exceedingly close to 100% accurate. I had my license post about 36 hours after I walked out of the test site... and I'm in California... and I paid for the IP. Remember that in order for your IP to be issued, they have to evaluate your file as if they're going to license you. If you get the IP issued, you'll get the RN license if/when you pass the NCLEX as that's the only thing "missing" from the process after your IP is issued.
I don't think I've seen a good popup from the PVT flip to a fail after 24 hours... though I've seen a few reported here that flipped before that time.
Nope everyone who's gotten the good one has passed. There's a million threads and it's always a yes so congrats!
AFTER 24 hours, haven't seen it change to a fail. PRIOR to 24 hours, though....yes indeedy. Which is why those who report 'good pop up an hour after testing' are told to wait and do it again in 24 hours.
I am still anxious, I'm checking the op.nysed.gov and my name still not there, but i tried the pearsonvue trick 33hrs post exam, i had a good pop up. guys do you have any idea how long the Board of nursing update their system and posting the name of new passers? I took NCLEX RN New york licensing.

As of December of 2014 many of my classmates who passed the NCLEX said that they had to enter their credit card information before they got the good pop up. I did the same thing. I started the process to sign up again and went all the way to the credit card page. I entered my credit card information and then went to the next page where you confirm and submit. I hit submit and then I get the good pop up and the site does not let me make a payment or re-register. I have been trying this every hour since I got home from the exam on the 5th at 1030. Today I am 29 hours out and still get the good pop up. California does not participate in the quick results so now I am unable to do anything because I am so worried. The classmates I know about taking the exam saw their names posted on the BRN within 48 hours. I guess I will probably have to wait until 1030 tomorrow to wait 48 hours if my name is posted on the CA BreEZe site.
Does anyone know someone who got the good pop up and wasnt able to re-register but then they found out they failed? That is my only worry.
