I took the NCLEX on Tuesday the 11th at 8:00. I was done in under an hour. I rushed home to my computer and arrived by 10:30. I did the Pearson Vue trick and got the good pop-up. Today, the 12th at 7:30pm, I checked my BON (FL) and found my license number. It's official. I PASSED!!! Ahhhhhh, so excited. :yeah:
Let the job search begin.
I had the day from h*ll today. Rosde with my parents over to take the test 45 minutes from my house - they wanted to be supportive :) Listened to my Mom backseat drive for my Dad all the way. 1st stress.
When I arrived at the center realized when I changed purses, for some reason I didnt grab my new license and had my old one which was expired. They wouldnt let me test. I cried. Then I had just under 40 minutes to find a DMV in the area to get proof of my identity and license validity. 2nd stress.
By the time I got back to take the test (JUST in the nick of time) I had to pee, was thirsty, and had a puffy face and headache from crying! I felt like I knew nothing that was on the test and also like I was clouded from everything else that had just happened to me. NOT how I planned to take the test.
Anyway...after being really mean to my husband because I was sick to my stomach and knew I had failed - I did the PVT and got the good popup. I have settled down and quit stressing for the night.
I've also apologized to my sweet husband and he is very understanding.
I have heard so many people say that they felt like they knew nothing on the test - yet they passed. So I think people (like me) should take that into consideration when making up their mind that they have failed.
I will update hopefully tomorrow with what I find on the FL DOH website. :)
Good luck to everyone and dont be your worst enemy like I am to myself!
Oh, also...as far as select all that apply questions - my instructor told us that the more of those you got, the better it means you were doing as it means you had been answering correctly in order to get to those harder ones. So the harder the questions seemed to you...the better you were doing. Have you heard that also? I guess it's true...I got the good popup and felt like I had too many hard questions.

Took the NCLEX-PN yesterday in Mobile, Al at 1300. Little over an hour and exactly 85 questions later and I was done....I stumbled on the PVT last night while furiously googling everything I could about the exam and tried it and got the good pop up. Now I'm checking the ABON every 1.3734 minutes to see if it updated with my license. My test was almost 100% STAT. I maybe had 15 just multiple choice, 2 math, 2 pharm, and that was it. Due to the positive information about the PVT, I have faith that I passed the test, and I'll be updating as soon as I know for sure. :)
The PVT really works. I took my NCLEX yesterday morning at 8. It stopped at 75 questions and my heart sank because I guessed on most of those questions and a lot of SATA (That i personally hate). I walked out of there almost in tears...I wanted more questions! I for sure thought I failed. By the time I got home I think I already went through my 5 stages of grief and excepted the fact that I failed then I checked the PVT and got a good "pop up"... I was still a little skeptical until I check my BON this morning (24 hrs later) and got my official PASS... So I'm recommending it to everyone who's taking the NCLEX to try it for some peace of mind.
The PVT trick was a Godsend I swear. I took the NCLEX PN this morning at 8 in Plantation, FL and I got stooped at 85 questions. I had lots of SATA, infection control, prioritizing, NO delegation, rut h walking. Few pharmacy and few math. I took the Kaplan Class room course with the QBank and I swear that thing is incredible. The Kaplan questions were so much harder than the NCLEX. I did the trick at 1 and I Blythe good pop up. Can't wait to check on Monday for my license number!
I've been reading lots about the "trick" and I just want to assure everyone this works. First of all, it's not really a trick, it has to do with the logic programming of the website. Pearson knows immediately if you passed or failed the test. So, instructions are coded into the program allowing you to re-register if you failed (so the website knows you eventually have to retake it) and not letting you re-register if you passed (so the website knows you never have to retake the test again.) So the bottom line I'm getting to is that this is 100% accurate. So if you get the popup, congrats, because you passed. And this is not some hokie trick, it is just good old fashioned computer programming logic.

I got the "good pop-up" too about I have already registered, etc and that I need to contact the BON. I hope I passed, although I didn't feel like I did when my computer shut off at 85 questions. We'll see what happens Friday.
