anyone wants to share their experience on the test pccn? i'm planning to take it this may. i'm nervous.
Hey all: I feel for all of you who did the pen and paper test at NTI. The waiting must be horrible. I didn't take the pen and paper simply because I am not patient enough to wait for results. I would much rather pay more money for instant gratification. I took the test on Tues, 6/6/06 and I have to say that it was my LUCKY day!!! I passed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One note though, the results show not only a breakdown on how you did in each area, and whether or not you passed, but also how many questions that you answered correctly, and the number necessary for a passing grade. It was a little scary to see exactly how close I was to not making the grade.
Good luck to all of you who are studying, and for those who are waiting for their results. I will keep my eye on the thread to see results.
i plan on going for the pccn, but i'm not sure which review material to purchase. from the posts i have read, i have narrowed it down to david woodruff, but there are several to chose from.
my hospital used to offer the course but stopped a couple of yrs. ago so i'm on my own.
i am deciding between the pccn: test prep or the progressive care mastery program.
has anyone here used either of these & if so, did you pass the exam using this material?
thank you.

NTI= National Teaching Institute, it is the critical care exposition that is hosted by the AACN. It is actually going on right now in Anaheim California.
It is essentialy a gathering for all types of nurses with lectures, workshops, and people demonstrating the latest technologies available.
