Hi everyone, this is a thread for the January 2013 PBSC students. I know October is right around the corner, so I am a little frazzled right now. I am preparing for the HESI and have purchased the HESI study guide. Haven't made it to the mandatory information session as yet though. Also I was wondering if the Pro-Calc is a required test for new students as well. I didn't see anything online on testing dates etc for that. Is it similar to the HESI?
Hey Britt, I remember you from the fall 2012 forum. I hear there are HESI study sessions or something like that at PBSC now. I will try to post the link. Do you have the study book?
Hey Mj!! Thank you soo much for that info! I am def going to look into it TODAY, I scored at 78% on the Hesi in Jan so I have a lot of preparing to do this time around.
Your about to start your 1st semester!!! You must be so excited/ nervous! Keep in touch to let me know how things are going! And hopefully Ill see you in Jan!
I thought last years cut off for part time program was 27+ which would kind of make sense because I think they only take what 30 people for the part time program right? Right now I am kind thinking of my other options and back up plans if I don't make this cut. Was thinking of doing the whole EMT/ Paramedic thing. Which means I would have pretty much wasted 2 years of school to get into something I couldn't make which sucks but what can you do. Anyone else thinking of back up plans? I just can't keep waiting around to try and get in this program.
It's always good to have a plan B. If I got denied I would just jump into something else. I was thinking I would do the LPN program but everyone I talk to is telling me not to. The only other program that interest me is the EMT hopefully we won't have to go to plan B. I'm applying for the spring 2013, I want to take the hesi in late September unfortunately I need an 83-92 to even have a chance to get in. I took the hesi already for Broward college I did ok. The hesi I pretty easy. The math, reading, vocab, and grammar are pretty basic. The only parts to really stress about is anatomy, chemistry, and biology. Oh and the study group thing sound like a great idea. Please email me [email protected]
