PBSC 2014 Fall RN admissions

Published

Are there any future nurses out there being driven crazy by this waiting game to see if you are accepted into the program this fall 2014. I have read posts that say the cut offs are higher for fall then spring and I applied with 25.55 points. Is anyone else feeling my pain out there and stalking the PBSC website.

The fundamental text is only used first semester. They refer to them for additional reading in future semesters, but I never looked at them again. I never used tabers. The diagnostic and lab books you need for all 4 semesters.

Drug guide you will need for all semesters as well.

I'm so excited. for everyone ! I need to take my CPR . Anyone have any suggestions . I can't find the numbers from orientation .Thanks!

I registered this Saturday at Boca Regional (taught by the fire department). $45 from 830-1230.

That's where I took my CPR class. It was actually a really fun class. The instructors are funny.

Thanks ! I would have done it with you , but unfortunately I'm out of town this weekend . But I'll keep he number in mind.

Does anyone know if fundamentals is mandatory?

I'm pretty sure the only class that is optional is Critical Thinking

The book. Yes.

Directly from Rhonda...

"You do not need to take NUR 1024 as it is not required."

So that clears that up! :)

Does anyone know if NUR 2140 is still offered as a pharm option?

Pretty sure they axed that class because a lot of people were failing. I believe NUR1141 is the only option.

I emailed Rhonda about this, because I was kind of bummed it wasn't still offered. According to her, the rn-bsn program at PBSC will take Nur1141, and Universities want a course number that is higher than nur2140 anyway, so there is no point in having the higher course now. ;)
