PBSC 2014 Fall RN admissions

Published

Are there any future nurses out there being driven crazy by this waiting game to see if you are accepted into the program this fall 2014. I have read posts that say the cut offs are higher for fall then spring and I applied with 25.55 points. Is anyone else feeling my pain out there and stalking the PBSC website.

I need to take pharm...couldn't get it in before applying. I think they hold spots open for new nursing students.

Pharm spots are up!! there's like 25 of them right now!

--Strike that, like 100. haha ;)

Thank you!! I just grabbed one!

I need pharm and critical thinking... I heard that's a no no to take them together but I don't know what to do about it.

I have the critical thinking books if you need them!

I have the critical thinking books if you need them!

There are currently no spots available :/ Have you heard anything about taking all these courses and critical thinking together? Will I die of overexertion? If I can find a spot I'm totally interested though

I have first semester books and used scrubs for sale (size xs) :-) Send a message if interested!

I had 5 classes this summer with Critical. Not that bad. Lots of reading but I thought test were easy. Keep checking because I see them pop up all the time. I had micro w lab and psych and art appreciation which doesn't count but you can do it.

Critical Thinking is alot of information and very little feedback. Much like what I assume the program will be like. I took Vassell. I loved her and was lucky enough to get 2 classes with her for semester 1. I took it by itself last semester. You have to scoop it up quickly though, it's a hot commodity.

I thought the critical thinking was optional :-O

You know I thought I heard that too... but maybe that was just to be admitted. You may have to take it to earn the degree, I'm not sure.

Critical thinking is optional for an extra point.

Congratulations to all who made it! It's a great program but difficult! Be prepared. I am selling my books for anyone who wants to save money!!! Send me a message :-)

Any tips on which books we can rent? Like which ones we will ONLY use first semester? (Kee Lab and Diagnostic, perhaps?)

I would think the Dictionaries and Handbooks we will need throughout the program, right?

I'm so excited. for everyone ! I need to take my CPR . Anyone have any suggestions . I can't find the numbers from orientation .Thanks!
