PBSC Fall 2012 hopefuls

Published

Hi everyone!! I probably am jumping the gun by posting this already but I'm too excited and just can't believe I'm finishing up my last semester of pre reqs for the program. I take my HESI on Feb 16th. Anyway I just wanted to introduce myself and see if anyone has also taken the hesi and what would be the best study guide to get. Here's to hoping for a great fall!!! :D

Yea I'm thinking maybe Thursday. Wednesday is the 4th of July so the school is gonna be closed. I wouldn't doubt Thursday. And I talked to a friend of mine yesterday and she is the program and said her registration date didn't change early and her info session never got the green mark. So I'm not gonna think anything crazy until I get that letter. And I mean last semester was 24 points there is no way that the point spread would go up to 27-28. I still believe we have a really good chance. Stay positive ladies!!!

Yeeahh! You so right! And thank you for share. I'm completely agree with you. You made me feel better! For a moment I got nervous and desesperated with the idea of 30 points cuz mine are so far.

Yes, I've calmed down a lot since finding out registration dates were changing, mainly because like you said MJ, it's the weekend. I'm hoping we find out on Tues instead of Thurs. The way I see it, they need time to send out the information packets to everyone before we register for classes. So, I was thinking we'll know by Tues and Thur they'll send out the welcome packages. So fingers crossed for that. Either way, I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend as best as they can considering the circumstances!

Last fall the cut off was 28.89!!!! Getting so nervous. What do you think the difference is between this fall and last. Also, they knew by the 23rd! How frustrating is that.

Honestly there is a huge difference. They were taking the NLN back then and they were giving a point for sociology. So I think there is going to be a big difference in points.

my friend applied for that fall 2011 semester and she got her denial on the 16th, she had 23.49 points. there were rumors that people with low points already got some sort of notification, i know some people on here said even leila told them when they asked about the appeal.

we just really don't know what its going to be

i know i got a 90 on the hesi and the class average was 80, so idk how many people passed. and if last semester was 24 people didn't score that high on the hesi either

Yea last fall was a BIG difference then this fall!! No NLN and no sociology!!

Yes, we can't compare to last fall. The best thing to compare to is this Spring.

Panther web is down today :/

Right! We really don't have much to go on since this is the second semester since the changes and fall and spring are usually different. Comparing to spring is the best we can do.

Thank You! I feel so much better now. I didn't know what the difference was and forgot about the NLN and sociology so I was getting nervous.

If there is a green check and a changed registration date - those people have made it into the program. They have a lot to get through, so the higher points are easiest to go ahead and process first. The rest of us who fall into the average scores have to wait it out :/. Congratulations Felicia!

I hope there's less people applying this semester. I know the hesi has a 6 month time limit. And I took mine on april something so the next time I can take it will be for spring 2013 semester not fall. So, maybe for the people who didn't do so hot or didn't pass they took it where they can't apply this semester with the score? Just trying to increase hope
