PBISN(Philip Beth Israel Nursing) Fall 2015

Published

Hello all prospective nurses!

I am curious to know if there is anyone who has applied to Beth Israel for the upcoming Fall 2015 start date. I have handed in my all materials to my application. I will be taking the NLN Soon. From past posts I know people sometimes wait until June to know if they are accepted or not. Hopefully we can get a good thread going here and can compare NLN scores and share any information that we hear from the school. Hope to hear from you1

@Dmacnurse yes positive vibes!!

@nurse178 wow that was quick Congrats!! Let us know how it goes

At @Dmacnurse and @lovebug 23 Definite positive vibes! I cant imagine myself going any other place as well. WE WILL ALL GET IN! At @lovebug23 I think we might have sat beside each other during the exam, did you have blue scrubs on? I contacted NLN today, they said we need to check out accounts for the nln scores that they do not send any emails nor mails. @nurse178 Good luck on your interview!!!

Yea I had on blue scrubs all the way in the back by the windows..lol..The school website did say we have to check the NLN site. 3/28 will make 3 weeks since we took the eaxm.

I actually took the NLN on January 28th and got the results and a reply from PBISN on February 5th.

Wow you must have a great overall package! Is your interview in March or in April? We are dying to know lol Wishing you luck again!

@DetermndNurse2B

@lovebug23

@Dmacnurse

Thank you guys. I'll let you know how it goes!

@nurse178 How did it go?

Hey @Dmacnurse! I think it went pretty well for me. I left there feeling very confident that I had a good chance of getting in. Here are some details about the interview.

The interviews were a bit different compared to what was said on pg 2 of the 2014 applicant thread.(https://allnurses.com/new-york-nursing/phillips-beth-israel-909884.html) I think they scrapped the group interview format as my interview was a 1 on 1 with the Asst. Dean. The dean went over my grades and overall package telling me that it was very strong. It seems they look at your grades first and then use the recommendations/essay to support your case as she did mention them. We went over some hypothetical questions to see how I would deal with certain types of situations that nursing students would face. I asked a few questions and she was happy to answer them. For the rest of the interview we talked about what I should do to prepare for the upcoming semester (like I was already in >.

If you are like me, you're also probably thinking on what to wear to the interview. I just treated it like a job interview and wore a suit. I was very content with my decision as everybody was dressed up in traditional business attire.

If you guys have any questions just let me know! I know I left some details out as I don't remember all of them at the moment. But if you have any questions I'd be happy to help any way possible as this is a very nerve racking situation for all of us. :D

@nurse178 that's great news sounds like you are in!!! But I think I'm going to get a rejection letter I did not do well on my NLN exam. I am really sad about that.
