Paying Fee to become a CNA

Published

Does anyone think it's worth paying 650.00 to become a CNA when they only make about 8.00/hour....I'm going to be enrolling in nursing school next year, so I was thinking the only flexible job I could work and complete nursing school would be a CNA...but I feel like this is a lot of money for such a low paying job.

Many of these CNA schools are just private companies trying to make a profit. Some nursing homes and hospitals will train you for free.

where is the test site in Atlanta GA. if i only need to take the test

At my community college, it costs about $1000 for the two classes you need and it takes about 2 months for the lecture class and 1 month for the clinical. I thougt it would be nice for the experience, but I can't make my bills disapear, so....maybe I'll volunteer....if I can find the time! I am also planning to move soon and don't want to sign an committment with a hospital or anything like that. I dunno....
