Pay rate for CNA or nurses aid

I am presently a microbiologist, but I am looking to gain more insight into patient care by becoming a nursing student assistant. Do you have an idea about the payrate for NA in Maryland. I can't take a tremendous step down in pay bc I have a family.

Hospitals 8.25 base w/ no experience.. 9.25 w/ experience and extra skills EKG, monitor tech etc...Diff's are 12 & 15% of base pay. Not sure how much LTC facilities are but it's probably the same unless you have experience and are willing to work per diem. PCT's/CNA work very hard in a very demanding area but if you want patient exposure this a a very good area to start in..my 2 cents
