pay per visit/hourly/salaried

Hello All,

I was hired for a full time home health position with a very replicable known company. The manager told me I will not get paid by the hour instead I will get paid per visit. Is this how most home health companies pay for a Full time RN.. I think it is the same as Full time Case Manager?

Any input on this. Please

That's nice. I'm in the city and it seriously took me 2 hours to drive 6 miles the other day. Driving around here has just been disastrous as of late with the amount of snow we've had. Though it's also taken me 45 minutes to drive 3 miles in the summer in heavy traffic areas.

We have an actual policy that pays hourly for any drive time exceeding 30 min. IOW the first 30 min between visits comes out of your visit rate but anything over 30 min between visits is paid at hourly.

When I first started back I didn't have my area built up, they didn't have a case mgr for the area until I came back, and filling in for out lying areas in the meantime I would have 2-3 patients right at 30 min apart so no compensation, we agreed that anything over 2 30 min legs would be paid hourly to keep it reasonable. They weren't trying to run me off so those kind of things were negotiable on a case by case basis.

I'll be needing a replacement next year, and will have a house for sale.. :-)
