Pay for LVN in ASL/Memory Care?

Published

I'm just curious on how much an LVN should get paid for each shift?

As far as I know, one company told me they pay their LVN starting $16-19/hr? Another told me they pay $17/hr

Depends on what state and area you are in.

Specializes in Psych, LTC/SNF, Rehab, Corrections.

Depends on the facility, the city/state and your experience.

Some facilities pay more. Some shifts pay more than others

Some states pay better. Some cities pay more than others.

Experienced nurses generally earn more than new grads.

I have no idea what you should be earning.

What you were quoted sounds like HH or clinic pay, to me.

ALF, i thought, paid higher than skilled. Back in Texas, I worked with a nurse (1 yr) who earned about $25/hr. It was a management position though.

Here in Western Ny ALF's paid $14/hr amd LTC paid $16

There are too many variables to give a good answer. What state are you in? How big is the facility? Are they a large company? What will you be responsible for? Are you a new grad or experienced?

You ou may be able to see if you are getting a fair deal by researching the company on Glassdoor.com. For larger companies I have found it to be accurate a lot, but it all depends on the honesty of the people posting.

This is regards to Northern California.

I was just hired as a LPN at a memory care center, and they offered me $22 an hour and I have no prior experience. I live in AZ.
