Pathophysiology tree help....

Nursing Students Student Assist

Published

Hi. I'm in my second year at nursing and I am in med-surg. My clinical teacher wants us to write a very detail pathophysiology tree using a template. It includes step by step progression of symptoms (begining, to death), what is happending in the body at those time, diagnosis and test and treatment.

I'm having a hard time with this. How should I go along with this and can you recommend me a good patho book?

Thank you!!

Is this like a care map? What is your disease?

Hi. Yes this is like a map. I am doing an example patho tree on sepsis. I grouped the disease signs and symptoms by progression into 5 sections, next to it what is going on in the body, then diagnosis/test and last is treatment. It progresses from the beginning to death.Thank you! :)

if you're a visual learner, find visual aids helpful, or have to produce visual aids like this, check the physiology coloring book. real book, very helpful. there's also an anatomy coloring book.

Sepsis is infection of the blood stream. How would you begin staging the signs and symptoms... What comes first, then next and so on?I put chills, muscle ach, fatigue, then fever, malaise and so on...Thank you for all your help.
