Past webcam/topless photos...can I still be a nurse?

Published

I have done lots of artistic nude photos.....none that were spread eagle but mainly topless or in a thong. I go to exotic lands like the virgin islands and hawaii wearing thongs as well. I did hold down a webcam job but found it boring and the guys were rude. I wasn't on very long.

Can I still become a nurse if I put the webcam part behind me? I can keep the thong photos off facebook and my website but I don't see nudity as a problem. I don't do drugs and I have no convictions.

It's not illegal, so I don't see why not.

but nurses have a higher moral clause that states they have to be above the average person in morals.

I am thinking christian morals b/c many pagan religions and budhists aren't as prudish about nudity.

I was told that nurses have gotten fired for webcam jobs. I could understand if you held the job while being a nurse but if you ended that part of your life, it shouldn't count.

I have also been told that lawyers have been fired if someone found out they were strippers in the past.

How would they find out though? Webcam sites don't say "hey, she got naked" if an employer does a background check. They come up as internet marketing companies. A recruiter said this firsthand. Funny as it is, the longer you stayed at the "internet marketing" job, the better it looks...........so you don't look like a jobhopper...................and yes, I know from personal experience-that said, this may be too risque a topic for this site, so I'll shut up now, but feel free to pm me.

If you didn't do anything illegal I don't see how that would prevent you from being a nurse. I don't think it's advisable to continue that type of employment if you do go to nursing school, though.
