Looking for students that have either been in the LVN program or the RN program at SJVC. I need to know how intense the program is. I am looking at applying for the next semester was thinking about the RN program, but am very nervous about it. I work full time 30-40/wk and have 2 small children to take care of. When I start program I can only cut my hours down to 30 min./wk I can't afford to cut any more than that. I don't have a babysitter, so that responsiblity will be on my husband. Classes are 2 days a wk plus clinical so he is going to have to ask for those days part off. ( Right now he has split shifts, he has to go in 2 times a day so it will go down to 1 time a day). My question is I don't know if it would be a better idea for me to try the LVN program and after completing that looking into the rn bridge program. Or just going for the RN program with fingers crossed that I will make it through. Is the LVN program easier? Is the RN bridge program easier than the AD RN program?
